My name is Nicola and I am the Community Fundraiser for Derbyshire on behalf of Rainbows. If you could display an article for me advertising myself as a guest speaker to local groups that would be fantastic.

We care for life-limited children and their families from Derbyshire and the East Midlands. We receive less that 10% government funding so we have to raise in excess of £1.8 million every year simply to keep the hospice doors open. To be able to meet this challenge every year we rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the community so raising awareness is essential for us.

If at any point you would consider doing a feature on a child that uses the hospice that would be fantastic. Also if there is any other way that I can become involved in the events organised in Aston on Trent please do not hesitate to contact me on one of the above numbers.

South Derbyshire CVS Social Car Scheme is urgently seeking volunteer drivers to take people who are unable to use public transport to medical appointments, shopping or social events. People who use the scheme tell us that it helps them to maintain their independence and makes their lives much easier.  Our volunteers provide them with a friendly face and piece of mind.

 If you have your own car and a little spare time then you could make a real difference to your community. You can commit as much or as little time as you like.
